I imagine I'd say something like "Hey, it's great to see you but, um...what are you doing on my doorstep?"

Seriously -- my first boyfriend was a sweetheart and I often wonder how he's been all these years (it's been at least a decade since we spoke), but I also suspect we never actually had all that much in common. If I ran into him again, I imagine it would be nice to catch up, but I'd want to keep it fairly brief; our conversation might get awkward in the same way a blind date would if it dragged on too long.

And if he somehow tracked me down and showed up at my house without so much as calling ahead, I'd be kinda creeped out. But then I would be if just about anyone did that.

i am going to see my first love next week for coffee. I haven't seen him in over 20 years, so it should be interesting and i hope great fun. We did have a lot in common, at a certain point, but i am very curious to see how much we still have in common, now that we are old ;)

speaking of your house, did you recently move? not to be creepy, but i think you're showing up in a different location on my tracker, and i just what to be sure it's you. are you using a new computer or internet-device?

if my first love showed up on my doorstep, i'd think i was dreaming, since he killed himself when i was 11.

haha that makes me feel sooo much better. because i knew either somebody new was showing up and you had disappeared, or it was you in a new form. you shape-shifter, you. ;) but yeah, i just got nervous because my current "he" lives where you live (generally speaking).
