So much for cherished childhood memories

Weirdness. One of the questions on OKCupid is "Who did you like more as a kid, Bert or Ernie?" Trying to answer that question, I realized that I could not for the life of me remember. This wouldn't be quite so strange, except that I do remember having a strong preference for one of them--I just can't recall which.

I hate memory gaps. The more things I can't remember, the more I wonder if my entire life actually happened or if my past is one grand hallucination.

No, devious would be complaining about something (say, one's gout) to thus induce you into thinking they were a boyfriend (perhaps one you had forgotten about.)

Oh, that'd just be a shocking new level of deviousness. I'm sure I don't know what I'd do if things reached such a pitch as that.

Come to think of it, given that I've just generalized that all my boyfriends are devious as well as exaggeratedly decrepit, simply being devious in any way at all might suffice to perpetrate the same ruse. Oh dear. I've just left myself horribly vulnerable, haven't I?

But terribly popular at parties - especially at the Old Spies Nursing Home.

Popular at parties? Less so, lately. Perhaps I would indeed have better luck with old spies.

(But dammit, I like Lady Speed Stick!)
