New toy

I have a Palm now. It is shiny. It has buttons on it. I cannot stop pressing them.

*gleeful, manic grin*

Okay, it ain't quiiiiiiiite that bad, but I have spent the entire evening copying over the contents of my pen-and-paper address book and calendar, along with anything else I can think of. I think I've HotSynced the sucker a good ten times already.

LifeBalance is an app. It's a really good app. Everybody should see it, even though not everybody will want to use it (or pay to register it, it's shareware).

I was thrilled to have a Palm because it added a level of organization to my life. LifeBalance approximately doubled the amount of organization benefit that I get from the Palm, 'cause the normal To-Do list really sucks and LifeBalance is wonderful.

If you feel like a quick summary, the guys who make it are called LlamaGraphics (http://www.llamagraphics.com). They're pretty cool as well -- I've met them in person, and they also respond well to comments and questions. Score one more for itty-bitty software companies where you can actually talk to the people who do the work and know what's going on.
