i am alone, torn
the world ignores me, for they
know not what i need.

i write without caps
with line breaks in strange places
screams tell not my pain.

i strike out in rage
my teeth and claws find nothing
futility reigns.

perhaps i should try
haiku; it seems to be a
most appealing form.

but no - it would not
alleviate this blackness
mine eyes cannot pierce.
