Inexplicable car owners

Seen on the bumper of a minivan this morning:

"How can there be too many children? That's like saying there are too many flowers."

....I have no words.

On a not unrelated note, why the hell do so many people have vanity plates that just state the make and model of the car? Do they think we won't notice how cool their car is if they don't point it out to us?

This is clearly a person who doesn't do much gardening. ;) You plant your seeds. You plant a lot of them, more than you need, because some seeds don't germinate & some seedlings don't survive. Then, after the seedlings get to a certain size, you thin them out - you pull out a bunch of them until the remaining ones have enough space. Otherwise, you will indeed get too many flowers, and they will be stunted, sickly, and short-lived.

Ask someone with allergies if there can be too many flowers.

I think that might be a line from that Star Trek episode where Spock went all giddy over Charles Bronson's wife.

"Sorry, sir, I'm afraid we're going to have to evict you. City needs the land to plant flowers on."

I've wondered about those vanity plates too. I'd guess the owners think it's cool to have a vanity plate, but don't have enough imagination to come up with something that isn't obvious from looking at the car anyway.

Because flowers are major consumers of limited Earthly resources and will ideally be raised up through massive effort to be productive, happy, peace-loving members of the world. Right.
