It seems like nearly everywhere else where I might fit in culture-wise is too damn cold.
Last week, I noticed a high incidence of chilly weather grumbling in the Bay area while Colorado had a few rare subzero days. Hot and cold are rather relative, and once someone's lived in a place with significant seasonal variation for a year or two, they start to blend in. I even find that my cold tolerance varies seasonally: the temperature that sends me huddling inside in September will draw me out of doors half naked in December.
