Today's randomness

Miracle of miracles: today I had a car door slammed on my hand and due to the way the door was constructed, I was hurt less than I would ever have imagined possible in such a situation. In fact, it quit hurting almost completely within a few minutes. Not only that, but the guy who did it is talking of buying me food by way of apology. I suddenly begin to understand the appeal of being a professional accident victim.

Also, we are apparently performing on Sunday in an octagonal church. That is hella nifty. Kinda sucks that it's in BFE, though.

It occurs to me that I've neglected to mention we're performing Sunday at all. We're doing a couple of cantatas and a harpsichord concerto, all by Bach. Saturday's show is in Oakland, Sunday's is in Palo Alto. Details are here.

Mirror, mirror?

A discussion of self-image suddenly moves me to ask all y'all: how much does this icon actually resemble me?

(Needless to say, answer only if you know me in "real life.")
