Feline insanity

Ki began frequently and rather vigorously attacking my knees and ankles a couple of days ago; some firm discipline by saizai seems to have broken him of this, but now he's instead taken to dashing about the apartment like a cat possessed. Not that he never does this usually, but he doesn't usually do it constantly. He's also yowling even more than usual, and running along beside me almost every time I walk somewhere. I wish I knew what the hell he wants. I'd think attention, but he never sits still to be petted for more than a few seconds.

Hell, he may simply have worse ADD than I do. I can only hope he's not a preview of my future offspring.

Does he go outdoors ever? He may be sick and trying to tell you? My cat did that. (But she was a strange one anyway.) Otherwise, he's probably reacting to that ghost in your livingroom. ;)

He doesn't seem sick, but he may indeed have cabin fever. P'raps I should take him out to prowl the hallways or something.

He does this normally, I should point out. He does know where the door is, and hasn't been pawing at it (which he did when he was confined to my room and wanted out, before).

I figured we should wait at least a month before letting him go outside, to make sure he's acclimatized as "this is home now, please don't try to hike to San Jose". But yeah, we should probably take him out - maybe to a park or something.

is he a lone cat, as in no other cats to attack or birds to distract him... cats get stress attacks when they are not given enough to occupy their brians.
