More, I think, because I'm both. There's this sort of in-between area where you find people playing with the forms of language rather than the more lyrical expressive elements of it--a la Lewis Carroll or the Oulipo folks--and that's where I tend to hang out.
Counting syllables in ordinary sentences, however, would be mind-numbingly dull unless I were afflicted with OCD or possibly autism. It's more my sense of rhythm than my sense of number that tells me things like "ooh, that was a haiku."
