Writer's Block: Forgive and forget?

Heh. Funny how a lot of this prompt was covered in my last post.
In general, my tendency to hold grudges depends almost entirely on the contrition of the wrongdoer. I can hold a grudge practically forever against someone who doesn't believe or won't admit they did anything wrong and won't apologize, but give me a sincere apology and you've usually got my near-instant forgiveness. (Unless my anger has been building for a while and it would feel anticlimactic to just let go of it, in which case you'll get all the things I was going to yell at you before you apologized, and then my forgiveness.)
But forgiveness isn't everything. Do the same fucked-up thing repeatedly, apologize repeatedly, and although I may not stop being willing to forgive you, I will probably stop wanting to trust you or be around you.
