You'd have been awake a winter ago, when the pile-driving for the new nearby Mission Bl. bridge construction was done at night, to avoid closing the road in the daytime.

Not sure. I remember waking up to it in the wee hours, 1 or 2 a.m., but managing to drift back to sleep. It's a few blocks from the house, but people also live right next to where they were driving, maybe 100 yards away.
