Yeah, that would've been nice...but it wouldn't've been worth continuing to live with people who think I'm an unethical slut. My mom knows I'm poly. She knows the names of folks that I hang out with a lot; she and I talk a couple of times a week, and I tend to chat about what I've been up to. While I did correct her misperception of what "getting together with

(I also find it really not important to put a lot of effort into clarifying *for anyone* (other than partners, who have SSA-related entitlements) who I am or am not sleeping with.)

That was what kept me from telling them, though if I'd found a way to just tell them I was poly some of the crap might've been avoided.

I hadn't told my housemate I was poly before I moved in. I figured it wouldn't matter too much, and really didn't expect to settle into several relationships as soon as I did. Fortunately, it has been a total non-issue with my housemate.

Probably. I imagine I'd've been considerably more tactful if it'd been my boyfriend in there. Thing is, Sai in particular is shameless enough about teasing me that the only defense is to be even more shameless. I suppose this is a good thing.

I was actually joking about the fact that Mary's boyfriend is also V's boyfriend. But I am glad to know that you're the roommate. (in my case, we've opted that sanity requires not only that I not date my roommate, but that I won't date her brother and she won't date anyone that I'm currently dating).

How long did the roommate take to get out of the bathroom?

1-2 minutes after she asked. I was taking a bath. I like long baths; makes it easier to relax and concentrate on some random reading.

If it doesn't put me to sleep, that is.

My bathtub has a showerhead. It also has a curtain. On those occasions when a housemate is bathing, (her muscles ache a lot, due to a previous car accident) and I really need to use the toilet, she can pull the curtain, continue bath, and I can use the facility. Works pretty well.

YMMV, of course.
