The following thought drifted through my head during lunch today, and it wasn't until a moment later that I realized I'd composed an inadvertent haiku:
The chicken is good--
I should have grabbed more of that
and less of the rice.
(I didn't say it was a particularly interesting thought.)

Date: 2006-01-18 07:41 pm (UTC)Counting syllables in ordinary sentences, however, would be mind-numbingly dull unless I were afflicted with OCD or possibly autism. It's more my sense of rhythm than my sense of number that tells me things like "ooh, that was a haiku."

Not a whole plate's worth, though, so to justify shelling out six bucks for the salad bar I had to fill the rest of my plate with potato salad, which is still sitting in the fridge only half-eaten. I'm gonna be living off it for weeks at this rate.
